YEW | Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver
YEW Seafood & Bar was the first collaboration between Guy Rigby and restaurant design firm EDG from Novato, California. Opened in 2008, YEW is a combination restaurant and bar with a dramatic, glass enclosed private dining room in the centre. Inspired by a visit to Screaming Mimi’s fish shack in Lonsdale Quay, North Vancouver, Guy wanted to create a concept that focused on the abundant fish caught in the waters of the Pacific Northwest. The restaurant and bar were targeted to the local community rather than the hotel’s guests. Local wines from British Columbia took centre stage on a one of a kind, 200 label wine list where ANY bottle is available 'by the glass’.
